Building a Safer, Stronger Stanton
Donald Torres is focused on practical solutions that improve everyday life in Stanton — safer neighborhoods, greater opportunity, well-maintained public spaces, and a City Hall that works for residents.
Safe & Healthy Neighborhoods
Keeping Stanton families safe is a top priority. Donald has supported increased Sheriff staffing, stronger standards for problematic motels, and efforts to address crime and neighborhood quality-of-life concerns.
Addressing Homelessness
Donald supports investing in mental health services, housing solutions, and partnerships that help people move off the streets while protecting the health and safety of Stanton neighborhoods.
Jobs & Economic Opportunity
Donald is committed to attracting quality jobs, supporting local businesses, and creating more opportunities for Stanton residents to succeed.
Clean Streets & Strong Infrastructure
Residents deserve neighborhoods they can be proud of. Donald supports maintaining Stanton’s parks, streets, sidewalks, medians, and public spaces while making responsible investments in the city’s infrastructure.
Supporting Youth & Seniors
From mentoring students at Western High School to serving on the City Council, Donald has long believed in giving back. He will continue supporting programs, services, and opportunities for Stanton’s youth and seniors.
Accountable & Responsive City Hall
Donald has supported mayoral term limits and permanent livestreaming of City Council meetings because residents deserve transparency and a voice in their government. During Stanton’s chemical emergency, he also worked directly with residents and helped families navigate the evacuation.
Combating Prostitution & Human Trafficking
Donald and city staff have worked with the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force to target pimps and buyers while connecting exploited women with services and support. In his district, closing Starr Street to through traffic significantly reduced prostitution-related foot traffic near homes and a local family attraction.
